Scientific Co-Founder | Brad Pentelute, PhD

Our Co-Founder Brad Pentelute (MIT) is an expert on natural proteins and also developing novel proteins.

Dr. Pentelute is an expert in enabling proteins and other compounds to cross biological membranes including skin, gut, and brain.

Using this approach, Dr. Pentelute and his students can create libraries of millions of proteins that they then screen for effectiveness against a range of diseases.

To help with the large-scale protein production needed for all of these projects, Dr. Pentelute’s lab has also invented a new tabletop machine that can string together amino acids using chemistry, to synthesize the desired proteins within minutes.

• Associate Professor of Chemistry, MIT
• Amgen Young Investigator Awardee (2016)
• Novartis Early Career Award in Organic Chemistry
• Young Chemical Biologist Award, International Chemical Biology Society
• World-renowned peptide chemist and innovator
